Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Saturday, where we highlight the six most essential IU basketball stories of the past week.
It was another disappointing week for the Hoosiers. After an uplifting and necessary win on senior night over Northwestern, IU struggled to take care of the ball and stay out of foul trouble on Tuesday against Purdue.
Now IU has just one regular season game left before the Big Ten Tournament, and is nearly out of time to turn the season around.
The good news? There’s plenty of other uplifting stories from around the world of Indiana sports.
Plus, we deliver the best deals on IU tickets from SeatGeek and one more look at our IU Gear Deal of the Week.
In this week’s edition:

Evaluating IUBB under Crean
It’s no secret that the 2016-17 season has been far from a success. Indiana started the season red hot and skyrocketed up to No. 3 in the AP Poll, but the Hoosiers have now lost eight of their last ten and are possibly on the outside of the NIT picture.
The downward spiral came quickly and without much notice. Next Monday will mark the one-year anniversary of Indiana’s 2015-16 regular season finale, a home victory over Maryland that ended with on-court celebrations and a Big Ten Championship Trophy.
So the question is, how do you judge a program that is on top of a conference one year and near the bottom the next?
Over at Inside The Hall, Alex Bozich put Crean’s time at the helm into perspective among the other elite Big Ten programs.
Spoiler alert: it’s not great.
Which is why Matt Brown wrote this piece of Sports on Earth: Time Running Out for Tom Crean, Hoosiers.
He’s a football guy, but he nailed the nailed the nuance of the current coaching situation in Bloomington.
