Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Saturday, where we highlight the six most essential IU basketball stories of the past week.
It was another wild week for IU basketball. It began with Indiana teetering on the brink after a loss to Northwestern. Then on Wednesday the depleted Hoosiers, still playing without OG Anunoby and James Blackmon, nearly suffered another brutal loss. But instead, the Hoosiers persevered, surviving a thrilling triple-overtime affair with Penn State.

Hoosiers Outlast Penn State
In the first triple-overtime game in the 46-year history of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, Indiana held on, just barely, to take down Penn State, 110-102.
The game was hectic, nonsensical, chaotic, and ugly. But the Hoosiers prevailed, improving to 5-5 in the conference and living to see another day.
Zach Osterman of the Indy Star provided an extensive recap of the game and the aftermath, with all its ups-and-downs.
